Successful Research Weekend: TechTurbo2025 in Schleiden

From November 20 to 23, 2025, the research weekend TechTurbo2025 took place in Schleiden, in the Eifel region. Over 60 students from various member associations and the general student body took the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and expand their networks.

For the fifth time, TechTurbo offered a diverse program of workshops, lectures, and networking opportunities. To celebrate the anniversary, numerous new workshops were introduced, including highlights such as Sound Matters, CFD, thermal management, and additive manufacturing. In addition to technical content, participants also developed skills in management and documentation, with a special focus on interdisciplinary collaboration—an experience that is often limited during regular studies.

The weekend allowed participants to work directly on projects, further develop their prototypes, and gain knowledge in areas such as electronics, CAD, manufacturing, EMC, and software/tooling. Hands-on workshops, guidance on key topics, and soft skills training such as presentation techniques and leadership provided practical value. At the same time, the event strengthened networking among students and member associations in the Aachen region.

TechTurbo2025 once again demonstrated how hands-on learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and shared exchange can lead to innovative and sustainable solutions.
